Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install an app?
No. PlayGig opens right in the browser: Safari on iPad and iPhone, Chrome on Android. To use it full screen, add PlayGig to your home screen: on iPad and iPhone, with the Share button; on Android, from the Chrome menu.
Does it work without internet at the venue?
Yes. Before the show, download the setlist from your profile. After that, songs play even without Wi-Fi or cell signal. On iPhone and iPad, download from the same icon you'll use at the show: PlayGig opened from the home screen stores files separately from Safari.
Can I change a song's key?
Yes. When you import, PlayGig detects the song's key and BPM on its own; if it's unsure between two keys with the same notes, like A major and F# minor, you choose. Then just go up or down as much as 6 semitones without changing the tempo, with the song playing or stopped. The chords in the lyrics change too, and the click stays as is.
How does the band follow the setlist?
In Setlists, tap Band and send the link on WhatsApp. Each band member signs in with their own account, which can be free, and follows live, without audio: the song playing, how much is left, the next one, the lyrics with chords in the right key and the sheet music.
Which files can I use?
Audio in MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF and FLAC; video in MOV and MP4; sheet music in PDF; lyrics in TXT or LRC. You can combine several tracks in the same song, like backing track and guide. On a computer, you can import a whole folder: each subfolder becomes a block.
I play without backing tracks. Is PlayGig for me?
Yes. Send the setlist as PDF, Word, text or even a photo of a handwritten sheet, or paste the list, and the AI builds the setlist with the blocks, key, BPM, duration and lyrics that are written in it. The songs have no audio: during the show, PlayGig shows the current song, the next one, lyrics with chords and sheet music, keeps time and waits for you to move on. Songs without audio don't count toward the Free plan limit. If you like, add backing tracks to some songs later.
Can I split the show into blocks?
Yes. Split the setlist into Block 1, Block 2 and as many as you need, with any name you like. If the show runs late, tap the next block and it comes up next: the current song ends normally and the finish time adjusts right away.
How do I sign in to PlayGig?
No password: choose email or WhatsApp and enter the 6-digit code you receive. Once you've signed in on a device, you don't need to do it again, not even offline at the show.
How do I get access after paying?
As soon as Hotmart approves the payment, your account is upgraded to the plan you chose. Sign in with the same email or phone you used to buy.

How much storage do I get?
The Free plan includes 1 GB in the cloud and Pro includes 10 GB, enough for hundreds of songs with backing track and guide. For now, each file can go to the cloud at up to 50 MB; larger files, like long videos, play normally on the device where they were imported. Coming soon: Extra storage for those who keep lots of videos.
What about music rights?
PlayGig is a tool for playing your own material: backing tracks, guides and sheet music you produced or have the right to use. We don't sell or distribute music.
