In a nutshell
- We use your data to make PlayGig work: your account, your setlists, your files and your plan.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
- Your songs, guide tracks, sheet music and lyrics are yours. Only you (and the band, in the setlists you share) have access.
- You are responsible for the copyright of what you upload. PlayGig is not liable for the rights to the songs stored on the platform.
- You can request a copy, correction or deletion of your data at any time by email at contato@playgig.com.br.
1. Who takes care of your data
PlayGig (playgig.com.br and app.playgig.com.br) is responsible for processing your personal data, the "controller" under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (Law 13.709/2018, the LGPD, Brazil's General Data Protection Law). For any privacy matter, including to contact the data protection officer, write to contato@playgig.com.br.

We do not receive or store card data. |
| App usage: actions such as opening the app, playing, pausing, crossfading, importing files, changing the key, opening the lyrics or sheet music, with date and time, and the type of device (iPhone, iPad, Android or computer) | Recorded by the app while you use it, linked to your account. |

4. Who we share it with
Only with companies that help us make PlayGig work, and only what each one needs:
- Supabase (United States): database, sign-in and storage of your files.
- Contabo (server in France): hosting of the website and the app.
- Resend (United States): sending emails with the sign-in code and account notices.
- OpenAI (United States): AI reading of the setlist text or photos, only when you use "Build from a document". Only the document content is sent, without your name or email. Under OpenAI's business terms, this content is not used to train its models.
- Hotmart: processing of payments and subscriptions. Hotmart has its own privacy policy for the data you provide at payment.
- Cloudflare: DNS service for the domain (pointing playgig.com.br to the server).
- Google Fonts (Google): the website and the app load the PlayGig font from Google's servers, which receive your IP address to deliver the font.
- WhatsApp (Meta): delivery of the sign-in code, if you choose to sign in via WhatsApp, and conversations with support. The code is sent from PlayGig's number by a messaging system installed on our own server (Evolution API).
We may also share data when required by law or by order of a competent authority. We do not sell or rent your data.
5. Data outside Brazil
Some of these services store or process data in the United States and the European Union. This transfer is necessary to provide the service you purchased (art. 33, IX, of the LGPD) and is carried out with providers that adopt security measures and contractual data protection commitments.
6. What stays on your device
To play without internet at the show, the app stores in your device's browser (in local storage and IndexedDB, not in cookies): the sign-in session, a copy of your setlists and settings, the files you imported or downloaded, usage statistics not yet sent and which band setlist you are following. When you use "Sign out" in your profile, this data is erased from the device; what is in your account remains in the cloud.
7. Setlist shared with the band
When you share a setlist, anyone who has the code or the link and signs in with a PlayGig account can see: the setlist name, the songs with title, artist, key, BPM and duration, the lyrics and chords, the PDF sheet music for those songs and what is playing right now. Audio and video files are not shared. You can see how many band members are following, but not their names or emails. When you stop sharing, access ends immediately. Only share the code with people you want to see this content.
8. Music and copyright
PlayGig is a tool for you to store and play your own material. The songs, recordings, guide tracks, videos, sheet music and lyrics you upload are your responsibility. PlayGig does not sell, distribute or offer music, does not check the content each person stores and is not responsible for the copyright, neighboring rights or public performance rights of that content. It is up to you to hold the necessary authorizations, including to play in public (for example, with ECAD, the Brazilian performing rights collection society). We process these files only to provide the service to you and to whoever you choose in the band. If we receive a notice that some content infringes third-party rights, we may remove it or block access to it and let you know. The details are in the Terms of use.
9. How long we keep it
- Account, content and usage statistics: as long as your account exists. When the account is deleted, they are erased.
- Setlists and files you delete in the app: they leave the cloud immediately. The "Delete everything" option removes all setlists and files, including from the cloud.
- Access logs (IP, date and time): for the minimum period of 6 months required by the Marco Civil da Internet (Law 12.965/2014, Brazil's Internet Civil Rights Framework).
- Purchase and subscription data: for the period required by tax and consumer protection laws, even after the account is deleted.
- Support messages and ideas: as long as they are useful to help you and improve the app, or until you request their deletion.
10. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Each account can only access its own data, a rule enforced in the database itself. Files are kept in private storage. Sign-in does not use a password: access depends on the code sent to your email, so keep your email protected and never give the code to anyone else. No system is completely immune to failures; if a security incident occurs that may pose a risk to you, we will notify you and the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD, Brazil's National Data Protection Authority), as required by law.
11. Your rights
Under the LGPD (art. 18), you can, at any time:
- confirm whether we process your data and access it;
- correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data (you can change your name and musical profile yourself in the app);
- request the anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary or processed in breach of the law;
- request the portability of your data;
- request the deletion of your account and your data;
- find out who we share your data with;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, such as usage statistics;
- file a complaint with the ANPD (gov.br/anpd).
To exercise any of these rights, write to contato@playgig.com.br from your account's email. We respond within 15 days.
12. Minors
PlayGig is not intended for children under 12. Teenagers may use it with the authorization and supervision of their parents or legal guardians, who are responsible for subscribing to the Pro plan.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when PlayGig changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If the change is important, we will let you know through the app or by email before it takes effect.
