This is a convenience translation. If there is any difference, the Portuguese version prevails.
In a nutshell
- PlayGig is an app for playing your own material live: backing tracks, guide tracks, sheet music and lyrics.
- The Free plan has 1 setlist with up to 8 songs with audio (songs without audio are unlimited). Pro costs R$ 29,90 per month, renewed automatically through Hotmart.
- If you don't like it, you have 7 days to ask for your money back. You can cancel whenever you want.
- You are responsible for the songs and files you put in the app. We do not sell or distribute music.
- Test the setlist before the show and download it to your device: that way it plays even without internet.
1. Acceptance
These terms apply to the website playgig.com.br and to the app at app.playgig.com.br. By creating an account or using PlayGig, you agree to them and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What PlayGig is
PlayGig is a setlist app for musicians who play live. It plays your files with crossfade, combines backing track, guide track and click with earphone side, changes the key, shows sheet music, lyrics with chords and video, calculates the time the show will end and lets you share the setlist with the band. It works in the browser on iPad, iPhone, Android devices and computers.
3. Your account
- To create the account, provide your name and an email address or a mobile number with WhatsApp that belong to you. Access is through a code sent to that email or via WhatsApp, with no password. You can register both and sign in with either one.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account. Protect your email and your WhatsApp and never give your sign-in code to anyone else.
- The account is personal. For other people to follow a setlist, use the share-with-the-band feature; each band member uses their own account.
- Minors under 18 may only use it with the authorization of their parents or legal guardians, who are responsible for subscribing to the Pro plan. PlayGig is not intended for children under 12.
4. Plans and limits
| Plan | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | R$ 0 | 1 setlist with up to 8 songs with audio, unlimited songs without audio and 1 GB in the cloud, with all features. |
| Pro | R$ 29,90 per month | Unlimited setlists and songs and 10 GB in the cloud. |
| Extra storage (Pro add-on, when available) | R$ 9,90 per month | An additional 50 GB in the cloud. |
Each file uploaded to the cloud can be up to 50 MB. Larger files keep playing on the device where they were imported, but they do not go to the cloud. The prices and limits in effect are those shown on the website at the time of purchase.
5. Payment and renewal
- Payment is made through Hotmart, by Pix, credit card or boleto (Brazilian bank payment slip), according to Hotmart's terms.
- The subscription is monthly and renews automatically until you cancel.
- The Pro plan is activated on the PlayGig account that uses the same email or the same mobile number as the purchase. If you do not have an account yet, we will send an invitation to the email used for the purchase.
- If a payment is late, access to Pro may be suspended until it is settled.
- If the price changes, we will let you know at least 30 days in advance. The new price applies from the next renewal, and you can cancel before then if you do not agree.
6. 7-day guarantee
If you don't like PlayGig, you can request a refund within 7 days after the purchase and receive 100% of the amount paid, without having to explain why, as guaranteed by the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Brazil's Consumer Protection Code), art. 49. The request is made through Hotmart, in the purchases area, or with our help by email at contato@playgig.com.br or via WhatsApp (84) 99963-7428. Once refunded, the account goes back to the Free plan immediately.
7. Cancellation
- You can cancel the subscription at any time through Hotmart.
- After cancellation, you keep Pro until the end of the period already paid. There is no fee and no prorated charge.
- When Pro ends, the account goes back to the Free plan. Your setlists and files remain stored and playing, but you cannot create new setlists or go beyond the Free plan limit until you subscribe again.
8. Your songs and files
- PlayGig is a tool for you to use your own material: backing tracks, guide tracks, sheet music and lyrics that you produced, bought or have the right to use. We do not sell, distribute or offer music.
- You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for holding the necessary authorizations, including for public performance at your shows (for example, with ECAD, the Brazilian performing rights collection society).
- PlayGig is not responsible for the copyright, neighboring rights or public performance rights of the songs, recordings, sheet music, lyrics and videos that users put on the platform. PlayGig does not check this content and is not liable for any misuse. If PlayGig is charged for content you uploaded without authorization, you are liable for it.
- The content remains yours. You authorize us only to store it, copy it between your devices, process it (for example, to change the key) and show it to you and to whoever you choose in the band, solely to provide the service.
- If we receive a notice that some content infringes third-party rights, we may remove it or block access to it, and we will let you know.
9. Sharing with the band
When you share a setlist, anyone who has the code or the link and a PlayGig account can see the songs, lyrics, chords and sheet music of that setlist and what is playing. The audio is not shared. You decide who you share with and can stop at any time; the band members' access ends immediately.
10. Permitted use
You may not:
- use PlayGig to distribute, sell or make available third-party music without authorization;
- upload content that is illegal, offensive or that infringes the rights of others;
- try to access other people's accounts, files or data, or circumvent the plan limits;
- disrupt the operation of the service, overload the servers or copy the app to create a competing product;
- resell or transfer access to your account.
11. Operation and precautions at the show
We work to keep PlayGig running well at all times, especially on stage. Even so, it depends on your device, the browser, the internet and third-party services, and it may go through maintenance, failures or changes. To play safely:
- use "Download" in your profile before the show, so the setlist plays even without internet;
- test the entire setlist on the device you will use, well in advance;
- keep a copy of your original files;
- keep the device charged and, if you can, have a plan B.
We may change, improve or remove features. If a change removes an important feature from the Pro plan, we will let you know in advance.
12. Liability
We are liable for the services we provide under the terms of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor. We are not liable for problems caused by the content you uploaded, by use that does not comply with these terms, by failures of your device, your internet or the show venue, or by events beyond our control. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law guarantees you as a consumer.
13. Closing your account
- You can request the deletion of your account and your data at any time by email at contato@playgig.com.br. If you have an active subscription, also cancel it on Hotmart.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, stating the reason, except when the law or the safety of other people requires immediate action.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced through the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using PlayGig after that, you agree to the new version; if you do not agree, you can cancel the subscription and request the deletion of your account.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Brazilian law, in particular the Código de Defesa do Consumidor, the Marco Civil da Internet (Brazil's Internet Civil Rights Framework) and the LGPD (Brazil's General Data Protection Law). Any dispute may be resolved in the courts of your place of residence. Before that, talk to us: most problems are solved quickly through support.
